Confession: not a parallel fifth fan in composition or in playing. Sorry Debussy. (This is not Debussy). Just a technique whine from me, I have a pesky tight thumb that makes passages like these which look rather simple actually become rats nest of technique work. By rats nest, I mean I have to work on these two beats for about 10 minutes to get my thumbs adjusted to the fact that they don’t need to grip on notes tightly to make them pretty. Oh the joys of piano playing.
